  • Built
    A roller shutter is made of several horizontal interlocking aluminium, steel, or polycarbonate slats. The slats fit into a small box above the window, while opening. When it comes to roller doors, it may have interlocking slats but some roller doors are built with a single piece of galvanized coated steel curtain. They are manufactured from large sections of steel which are joined together to form one complete continuous curtain. It is then attached to and rolled around a skeleton drum.
  • Space
    People who have less space around the window opening, go for Roller Shutters as the small box known as pelmet on the top of the shutters does not take much space. It is also eye pleasing. On the other hand, Roller Doors may need space for mechanisms to operate the door. The traditional roller doors have a huge bulkhead to contain the shutters rolling up while opening them. That is why traditional roller doors were not suitable for small driveways, etc.
